How to choose the perfect swimsuit size
Choosing the correct size for your Antara Ocean swimsuit is key to ensuring comfort, fit, and performance in the water. A well-fitting swimsuit not only flatters your figure but also prevents discomfort when swimming, diving, or practicing any aquatic activity.
Below, we explain the details you should consider to choose the ideal size for you. With these 4 tips, you'll see that choosing the correct size is super easy.
📏 What should you measure?
To correctly choose your size, you need four key measurements, as shown in this diagram:

A. Bust measurement
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring tape straight and not too tight.
B. Waist measurement
Measure the narrowest part of your waist.
C. Hip measurement
Measure the widest part of your hips, making sure the tape is parallel to the floor.
D. Torso length
Place the measuring tape on one shoulder (closest to the neck) and slide it down, passing it over your chest to your pubic bone.
📐 How to measure yourself correctly?
Always measure with a flexible tape and without tightening. It is important that the tape is snug against the body, but without compressing the skin.
You should measure the circumference of your:
- Bust (widest part)
- Waist (narrowest part)
- Hips (widest part of hips and glutes)
Once you have your measurements, compare them with the chart to find your ideal size.

🤿 Tips for choosing your size
In addition to measuring yourself correctly, there are some more details that can help you with your size selection.
1. If you're between two sizes
Please note that our swimsuits tend to run small to ensure a snug fit.
So, if you are between two sizes, it is usually safer to choose the larger size, especially if you prioritize comfort or have a large bust.
2. The bust measurement is key
For one-piece swimsuits, this measurement makes all the difference, especially if you are considering purchasing the swimsuit with a front zipper (surf swimsuit).
If, after taking the 4 measurements we indicated, you find you are in different sizes, go by the size we recommend based on your bust measurement (measurement A).
3. Correct fit: how the swimsuit should feel
A swimsuit in your ideal size:
- Fits without being constricting
- Does not excessively mark the skin or bleach the color
- Does not create noticeable bulges
4. Common mistakes when choosing a size
- Choosing based only on height OR weight (these alone are not 100% reliable references)
- Not taking measurements correctly by tightening the tape measure too much or having it higher on one side than the other.
- Choosing a smaller size for more support (this can be uncomfortable)
